Therabootie LLC, a company that produces products that promote and encourage improved skin care, turns out two good solutions to promote faster healing of dry skin on the hands and feet. “We all have dry hands and feet when the cold weather moves in but for some of us it is a chronic problem” said Jean Ziccarelli, inventor and owner of the company. After searching the market place for a comfortable solution to retain moisturizer on her skin she discovered there were none that truly worked. The products offered today are cotton socks and gloves which are very restricting. They only soaked up the moisturizer and were uncomfortable to wear. As an inventor and retired Registered Nurse, she decided to solve this problem for herself. She invented the TheraBootie� and The Mit to facilitate the healing of dry, cracked skin on the hands and feet. “These products were designed and developed to promote healing of problem skin. They are non-restrictive and comfortable to wear, hypoallergenic, latex free and disposable. TheraBooties were used in a pilot program over a six month period from October, 2007 to April, 2008.
