Men’s Skin Care Products

Performed correctly, a facial increases the flow of blood and lymph, to purify and energize the skin cells Here’s something most women can agree on: Choosing gifts for men is tough. Thinking of something new and different for Father’s Day or a birthday can really tax the imagination. Cosmetic Dermatologist James Fairfield suggests a great way to show the man in your life you care: men’s skin care products.
Men are catching on to the idea that it’s a part of good grooming to take care of their skin. “Maybe you’ve seen a bottle or tube of ‘product’ lurking around the bathroom!” suggests Fairfield. But, a man’s skin is different from a woman’s, so it’s very important to make sure he gets the right skin care products.
Dr. Fairfield’s article describes the features that make male skin different from female skin, and what the implications are for using and choosing men’s skin care products. “Extra care must be taken when choosing skin care products for men,” Fairfield notes. “Harsh bar soaps and alcohol-based colognes and aftershaves are just too drying.” He explains why it’s wise, and well worth it, to look for medical grade men’s skincare products.
One major enemy of men’s skin is shaving, which reduces the skin’s natural layer of protection, increasing its fragility and producing dryness. Another source of dry skin is found with showers or baths that are too hot or too frequent - a problem for those who engage in sports or go to the gym. In these cases, a really great moisturizer is important. And then there’s the sun. It’s not just a challenge for guys who engage in outdoor activities or work outdoors! And, Fairfield notes, “As I’m the first to admit, the male psyche sometimes prefers not to concern itself with risks like ultraviolet radiation.”
That’s where a gift from the woman in his life, along with some persuasion, can really help. One gift idea Dr. Fairfield suggests can be packaged like this: moisturizing sunscreen, some gentle (loving) nagging and a really cool hat.
Finally, Fairfield asks, who could resist an invigorating facial? The products used in facials should include essential oils with fruit, plant and marine extracts. These ingredients will really give a guy’s face a healthy glow. “Performed correctly, a facial increases the flow of blood and lymph, to purify and energize the skin cells,” Fairfield points out. “He’ll feel pampered, relaxed and refreshed — what a stress-reliever!”
So, if you are a woman who’s stumped for something for your favorite guy, whether it’s a holiday, a birthday or Father’s Day, why not tell him you care with men’s skin care products?

Shea Butter is extremely beneficial to our skin, hair, fingernails, and many other things. While a lot of people are familiar with the healing benefits of unrefined Shea Butter, a lot of people mistakenly think that it’s something that is just for women. That is most definitely not true. It doesn’t discriminate. It loves men too!
Shea Butter is especially great for shaving. On sensitive facial skin, using it for shaving is a wonder lotion. It allows the razor to glide smoothly across the facial skin and still allows for a close shave. It also helps prevent razor burn and those little red bumps that shaving can often leave behind. While it is helping men shave, it is also benefiting their skin through some amazing healing properties.
It is also great for protecting the skin against irritations. For men who work outdoors, or who are athletic. See, guys. Shea Butter isn’t just a girly product. It has serious benefits that even the most manly man can appreciate!
