Recession Proof Skin Care Products for Personal Use and Holiday Gifts

Dorit Baxter, founder and owner of New York Day Spa located in midtown Manhattan, tells consumers how to get back to basics with homemade beauty products.
Explaining that “homemade beauty mixtures were once the only kind of skin care products and are still utilized by women around the world,” Baxter gives easy-to-follow recipes that create safe, effective and easy-to-use products simply by mixing basic ingredients that can be found in kitchens and bathrooms, or on the shelves of grocery stores and discount drugstores.
These ingenious back-to-basics homemade products are intended for increasingly budget-conscious consumers wanting to keep costs down while maintaining high standards for their skin-care regimens.
“You will be so happy with the results of your personal beauty mixtures, that you will want to share them with friends and relatives in the form of holiday gifts,” Baxter predicts, adding that packaging is no problem because you can print your own labels from sites on the internet, where you can also find gift jars and choices of holiday decorations.
“Women’s need for beauty products are timeless,” Baxter declares “but there are always changes in the economy. Right now, we are entering a challenging time. The savvy consumer knows how to adjust her personal and holiday shopping lists to get the most for her money.”
