Organic Beauty Magazine

Sovereign/Homestead is launching Organic Beauty, a bimonthly magazine that will serve as the authority on everything related to natural, eco-friendly and organic beauty. The premier issue, themed Green and Gorgeous, hits stands New Years Day and will inform women about the green alternative choices in personal-care products, cosmetic surgery, injectables and more.
Rona Berg, former beauty editor of the New York Times Magazine and editorial director of Elle, is the editor-in-chief. Going green is no longer just a trend, its a lifestyle, says Berg. Organic Beauty will provide a smart, sophisticated resource for women who want to cut through the confusion and find more natural alternatives.
We are very excited to be teaming up with Rona to publish a magazine that will help women be healthy and beautiful, said Diane Hintz, publisher of Organic Beauty. The organic and natural personal-care product market has hit a phenomenal $7 billion in annual sales. The demand for organic beauty products may be the most important issue to affect the beauty industry in its history.
Actress Olivia Wilde, known for her social responsibility and participation in humanitarian organizations, seemed the perfect choice for the first cover. She explains in her feature why she recently changed her mind about natural and organic products and why its unnecessary to sacrifice your health with what youre putting on your body.
Editorial coverage in every issue will include: natural and organic skin, hair, nail and oral-care products; organic foods, herbs, supplements, elixirs and fitness strategies; Ageless Beauty: natural alternatives to cosmetic surgery and injectables; sustainable beauty, fashion and style trends, as well as beauty bargains, up-to-the-minute news and breakthroughs.
Organic Beauty will be distributed nationwide and in select foreign countries by Curtis Circulation Company on New Years Day for $4.99. It will be available by subscription at organicbeautymagazine.net.

This is an absolutely wonderful mag! Gorgeous, informative & smart…already can’t wait until the next issue. I interviewed Editor-In-Chief, Rona Berg last month right before the launch; in case you’re interested, you can check it out here: http://figandsage.blogspot.com/2008/12/newsflash-brand-new-organic-beauty.html
:)
My family and I are back in Florida after three years of seriously roughing it in Costa Rica. We camped out and built a little house in the Jungle. Nearest neighbor several mountaintops away. My super study husband did the work of a five man construction crew. Talk about organic. My daughter Maya and I grew a magic garden and made medicine from plants. In our jungle spa we exfoliated with fresh papaya and used herbs from the garden in our food and on our bodies. I’m in the best shape of my life at 38 years old. Everyone says I look the same as in my twenties. But I feel healthier and stronger. Some say beauty is the gift of God. Your readers would glean at my experiences. I would love to share what I’ve learned on health & happiness and share some secrets on defying age and staying beautifull. Real beauty is never only skin deep!! A former child actress, talk radio personality and family social worker, goes camping to experience the miracle of rural Costa Rica culture, pura vida. Pure life. My book on the experience is in the works, media contacts are excited to promote it, a great cover, interview, profile, story. The piece can be modified to fit your publication needs. I’ld like to send you a picture. Can you send me an email address. Thanks so much.
I was lucky enough to stumble upon Organic beauty last week at the grocery store, quite good fortune as I rarely browse the magazine isle! What a find.
I rarely subscribe to magazines, but Organic Beauty is a gem. I read it from cover to cover in one sitting and am currently using it as a reference as I continue my search for good organic health and beauty products.
