Schering-Plough Corporation, the makers of COPPERTONE, announced today that actress and model Brooke Shields will become the spokesperson for the brand’s new beauty line, COPPERTONE NutraShield with Dual Defense - a broad spectrum sunscreen lotion enriched with antioxidants that promote natural skin repair and combat premature skin aging from the sun.
An international beauty icon, Ms. Shields stays current on the latest trends in maintaining optimal skin health and understands how year-round sun exposure can slowly deplete unprotected skin of its radiance over time. “I am excited to work with the COPPERTONE brand to help raise awareness on the need for year-round sun protection and the benefits of antioxidants in promoting natural skin repair,” Shields said.

I bought the Coppertone NutraShield sunscreen lotion (wish I would have had the $5 coupon) and extremely disappointed with it. I put it on and then went for a walk outside with my Starbucks travel mug and the sunscreen removed some of the logo from my precious mug! We put this stuff on our bodies! I did not know it can also be used as paint thinner. I ended up with paint on my hands and I am so bummed. I will not buy Coppertone again, and my mug is ruined. Very expensive lesson learned.
My skin tends to burn very easily and so I usually use an SPF 50. I didn’t know they went as high as 70. I wonder how high they can go before they become visible?
How come we cannot buy Coppertone NutraShield in department stores?
