TRIA Laser Hair Removal SystemTRIA Beauty today announced the launch of a new TRIA Laser Hair Removal System that is faster and at a lower retail price than the original model launched last year. TRIA Laser Hair Removal System is the first and only hand-held laser for at-home hair removal cleared by the FDA and available for sale directly to consumers in the U.S. The new TRIA Laser represents the first next-generation advancement in the emerging at-home industry.

The new TRIA Laser Hair Removal System features proprietary software technology that results in shorter treatment sessions — twice as fast as the original device — for virtually hair-free results after once-a month treatments over six months. The new TRIA Laser is priced at $795, a 20% reduction and $200 savings versus the original device.

“TRIA Beauty is forging a completely new category in beauty, bringing a professional, highly effective solution to the common issue of unwanted hair,” said Kevin Appelbaum, CEO of TRIA Beauty. “Hair removal is a consumer need that has not seen any meaningful innovation in decades, and we are committed to bringing best-in-class technology that will finally offer consumers a solution they can use in the privacy of their home. Perhaps most importantly, now consumers have an easy way to achieve lasting hair reduction, so that they’ll never have to think about or deal with unwanted hair again.”

TRIA Laser Hair Removal System combines the convenience of at-home hair removal with the therapeutic benefits of long-lasting laser hair removal, ultimately eliminating common chores like shaving and waxing. TRIA Laser Hair Removal System was developed by the same team of scientists that invented the professional technology in 1993. It uses that same laser technology and provides the same results as those professional devices, which are still considered the gold-standard among dermatologists and plastic surgeons.

“TRIA Laser brings hair removal into the 21st century, giving women and men the freedom from metal blades and hot wax,” said Appelbaum. “Over time, TRIA Beauty will bring the same passion and technology to create new paradigms in treatment of acne and skin rejuvenation.”

The new TRIA Laser Hair Removal System is available in the U.S. on QVC and at Bergdorf Goodman, STUDIO at Fred Segal, Bliss Spas, select physician offices and at www.triabeauty.com.

Laser hair removal is an increasingly popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure. Laser hair removal is a non-invasive, convenient method to reduce hair growth.Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses laser light an intense. Pulsating beam of laser light is used to remove unwanted hair. Laser hair removal works by passing a light beam through the skin. The laser light targets dark pigment called melanin in hair. When the light beam hits the hair follicle, the intense heat destroys the hair follicle instantly.

Depending on the area being the Laser Hair Removal treatment process may take several minutes to several hours to complete. The most commonly used lasers utilize a low energy laser light beam. This laser beam passes through the patients skin and is attracted to the pigment of the hair. The laser energy passes down the hair shaft and is absorbed by hair follicles that are in the active growth phase, thereby disabling the hair follicle in the deeper layer of the skin.In most cases, minimal pain should be experienced and no anesthesia is required in the laser hair removal treatment.

Unwanted hair is an intractable problem. While there are a number of ways to deal with unwanted hair on a temporary basis, no conventional method promises a permanent end to this problem except laser hair removal treatment.

The Benefits of Laser Hair Removal:

    1) Laser hair removal treats larger areas effectively because it disables more than one hair at a time.
    2) A non-invasive gentle laser hair removal technique that reduces undesirable hair from most parts of the body.
    3) By laser hair removal treatment skin color and complexion will look more uniform.
    4) Laser Hair Removal replaces waxing, electrolysis, shaving and bleaching.

Laser hair removal is an ongoing process that requires multiple sessions because it affects actively growing hair. In addition high laser energy levels are avoided to minimize the risk of injury to the adjacent skin. In most laser treatments, laser hair removal slows hair regrowth, and it takes several treatments to provide an extended hair-free period.Occasionally after laser treatment patients may experience slight redness on the skin or mild swelling around the hairs it would be for 2 to 3 days maximum. Sunscreen is recommended for any area that treated with laser treatment. Patients with darker skin may not respond well to laser hair removal treatments due to inadequate discrepancy between skin and hair colors. Blonde or gray/white hair is less responsive in laser hair removal treatments due to lack of ample pigment in the hair.

It seems that there is no end to the improvements in technology. A home use hair removal system that uses laser technology sounds like a good idea, but you have to wonder if it is as effective as the hair removal machine used in skin clinics or medical offices. Those machines are designed to be used by professionals so they are more powerful and that would seem to make them more efficient and effective. Your decision to use a home machine would have to take into consideration the amount of hair to be removed and the location on the body. Most people requesting hair removal are doing it for cosmetic reasons and want it removed from the underarms, legs or chest. You definitely want it done correctly for sake of safety.

I adore the tria. It’s crucial though that people know there are 2 different models and the updated one which was released about year ago is much more effective than the previous model.

    Careful when buying!

I use Silk’n SensEpil at home.
It is very easy to use, and it feels just like the professional treatments, only with no pain at all!
I started off at the lowest setting and I’m having completely satisfying results.
