My Dermafile
In the current economy, many salon and spa patrons are cutting back or completely forgoing beauty treatments. However, My Dermafile, a new exfoliating and skin polishing tool for at-home skin care, is now available at consumer pricing from Lesley’s Skin Care Inc. (http://www.dermafile.com).
My Dermafile, invented by licensed aesthetician Lesley Lind, is a small file made of stainless steel and finely crushed cosmetic diamonds. The file exfoliates and polishes away rough, dry skin; fine lines; signs of sun damage; acne scarring; pigmentation; stretch marks; ingrown hairs; light facial hair; and enlarged and clogged pores. It can also be used on other parts of the body: For example, it smoothes rough bumps and calloused skin on arms, elbows, knees, hands and feet.
“You will see noticeable results with regular use,” stated Lind, who is also the creator of Dermafile Pro, which is used by licensed aestheticians and physicians. “Since its creation in 2004, the professional version of Dermafile has become the most requested treatment in many facial rooms, exclusive spas and medical skin care offices. In response to hundreds of requests, I created this gentler, safe home version.”
Dermafile is designed to be used on every skin type except active acne and inflamed skin conditions. In addition to exfoliating dead surface cells, users stimulate the development of collagen as they buff their skin with the file, resulting in improved skin tone and a more youthful appearance. Another benefit of using Dermafile is that the removal of dead cells from the surface of the skin allows for improved penetration and efficacy of other skin care products as well as smoother makeup application.
“This file is the perfect safe, holistic, natural alternative to chemical peels, microdermabrasion and laser treatments,” said Lind. “All those processes are expensive, and people with sensitive skin often find microdermabrasion and peels uncomfortable. Dermafile is painless and is available for a low one-time cost. Even better, it replaces harmful acids and chemical treatments that are absorbed into the blood stream and filtered through the liver and harmful crystals that are breathed into the lungs, and vacuuming that breaks capillaries and stretches the skin from microdermabrasion.”
My Dermafile’s simple design means that there are no batteries to buy and no mechanical parts to break down or wear out. In addition, the file is approximately the size of a toothbrush, making it easy to take along when traveling.
Lind has worked full-time in the skin care industry as a licensed aesthetician since 1993. She recommends a monthly regimen for My Dermafile. “It is the perfect skin care solution for today’s economy,” she said. “If you are thinking about cutting back on professional skin care services, My Dermafile will help you keep your skin velvety soft and rejuvenated and also help you get more mileage out of any professional treatments you do opt for.” For more information, visit http://www.dermafile.com.

[…] “I am on my fifth year of personally using Dermafile,” said Lind. “I personally cannot tolerate chemical peels, but with one treatment every four to six weeks with a fine Dermafile Pro or My Dermafile, my extremely sun-damaged skin is feeling and looking much smoother and clearer. It is so worth it.” […]
Price change. The owner unloaded her stock at less than cost. My dermafile is now $99. Think how much a years worth of microderms would cost you. Still a deal I think.
This product looks great. I’ve been searching for something that will improve the look of my skin without expensive treatments. It’s great that it can be used all over the body, too!
