Organic Shea Butter Products Out of Africa

Thanks to the expanding Out of Africa organic shea butter line of products, hundreds of West African children are being educated so they can provide for themselves and contribute to their communities.
The Southern California-based company, formed in 2005, works with the women’s cooperatives in Benin, West Africa to harvest and produce the finest shea butter that is used in the company’s products. Out of Africa soaps and body care products are made with unrefined shea butter, which is not processed and keeps all the healing and moisturizing properties intact. The products contain some of the highest amounts of shea butter on the market.
The all natural Out of Africa line was created by Victor Lulla, a native New Yorker and progressive entrepreneur who gave up early retirement to pursue his desire to be socially responsible. Lulla teamed up with West Africa soap maker Gilles Adamon to form Out of Africa. As the global need for all-natural products and the popularity of shea butter products continues to grow, Out of Africa is able to offer premium quality skincare products at affordable retails–and help the people of West Africa. As demand for shea butter products increases, so do the number of jobs for these women, which aids the local economy. In addition, the company donates 3% of all sales to help educate children thru the Benin Education Fund.
Benefits of shea butter include moisturizing, revitalizing and protecting skin. Out of Africa offers bar soaps, washes, lotions, creams, body oils and lip balms which all help improve skin conditions such as dry or chapped skin, eczema, psoriasis, wrinkles, sun burns and stretch marks.
