Red Wine Therapy, Inc. has expanded its product line and now is importing, distributing and representing the UVAMIA nutraceutical line of products for the U.S., Mexico and Canada.
The company recently received clearance by the FDA to start marketing UVAMIA products, made with red wine extract, in the U.S. Its product line includes:
- Red Wine Polyphenols - helps cells protect against aging and, according to the National Institutes of Health, can help prevent cardiovascular disease
- Hydrating Face Cream - hydrates and nourishes skin, smoothes wrinkles and reduces expression lines

UVAMIA nutritional supplement and skin-care products are made with 100-percent natural red wine extract containing all the antioxidants (more than 220 different polyphenols) in red wine. UVAMIA contains natural polyphenols from red wine extract, Vitamin E and shea butter.
“Since the extract comes directly from red wine,” said pharmacist and company president Dr. Andrea Basagoitia, “its formula is pure and natural, made by Mother Nature.”
Due to the antioxidant power of tannins, polyphenols and other substances in red wine, free radicals are neutralized, which helps protect the skin from photochemical smog damage.
