Parabens, which are inexpensive preservatives used in many skin care products, have been linked to health risks in women. According to the authors, �These results indicate that methylparaben, which is used as a preservative in many skin care products, may have harmful effects on human skin when exposed to sunlight.� Thus, anti-aging skin care products containing methylparaben may actually cause more skin aging, not less.
