There is nothing like being pampered at the spa for a day. Between a good massage, a pedicure, and a facial, that is every woman�s dream! Not only do facials feel great, they are also very good for our skin. A facial cleans, exfoliates, and hydrates our skin, all why promoting healthy and clearer skin.
Although we hear great things about facials, you would probably like to know exactly what they do for our skin, and how much one costs. To find out the answers to your questions, continue reading below!
What does a facial include?
Once you arrive at the spa, the esthetician will begin cleansing your face with small sponges and choose a cleanser based on your skin type. Then, they will put a bright lamp over your face so that they can determine what is going on with your skin. With this, they will be able to reveal all of your skin�s conditions.
Once your skin has been looked over, they will start to exfoliate your skin using a mechanical or chemical defoliant. Since they gently scrubbed away all the dead skin and debris, they will follow up with an extraction. This is your choice on whether or not you want it; some people find it a little bit painful if they have sensitive skin.
Now that your skin feels fresh, and has been treated with some of the best products, they will follow up with a nice facial massage. This has a few benefits; the feeling and relaxation, and also the way it stimulates your muscles.
Once your face has received a nice massage, they will put a mask on your face that is made for your skin type. After the mask, they will apply protective creams and toners, and give you great skin care tips for your specific skin type.
How much does it cost to get a facial?
I�m sure all that sounds great, but you�re probably asking how much it costs. It usually costs anywhere from $45-$200. This of course depends on the spa you�re going to, and what you�re getting done. Although usually, a basic facial will average around $65.
