Benefits: What makes this product so important? A quick lesson on free radicals:
Free radical damage results from UV sunlight, smog, toxins, cigarette smoke, X-rays, drugs, and other stressors. The skin protein collagen is particularly susceptible to free radical damage, and when this damage occurs, it causes the collagen protein molecules to break down and then link back up again in a different way; known as cross-linking. As we age, there is increased wear and tear, while at the same time the energy for cell repair and renewal is diminished and the antioxidant enzymes are less available. Therefore, regular application of skin care products containing antioxidants may be of the utmost benefit in effectively preparing skin against exogenous oxidative stressors occurring during daily life. Human studies have demonstrated pronounced protective effects of antioxidants especially when applied topically before UV radiation exposure. Especially important for the summer time or when traveling.
Key Ingredients include:
- Resveratrol; One of the most powerful antioxidants around, high in proanthocyanidins, a group of bioflavonoids superior to most because they are water soluble and much more easily assimilated by the body. - Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed
- Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract; & Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Extract; High ranking Polyphenols (natural anti-oxidant)
- Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract; anti-inflammatory botanical
- Gellidiela Acerosa extract; Algae Extract with beneficial enzymes & minerals
- Garcinia Mangostana Peel Extract; inflammatory fruit, high in anti-oxidants known as xanthones.
