Riversol For Rosacea
Dr. Jason Rivers, one of Canada’s top dermatologists today announced the launch of Riversol For Rosacea, a skin care line offering natural relief for redness and rosacea.
“I’m very excited to bring to market this progressive skin care line, which I can confidently recommend to patients with rosacea, redness and even the most sensitive skin,” said Dr. Rivers. “I searched the market for years and was rarely able to find one.”
The key ingredient in Riversol For Rosacea is thujaplicin (thoo-ya-pli-cin), a potent antioxidant derived from the western red cedar tree, which is effective on even the most sensitive skin. Clinical studies have demonstrated thujaplicin to have anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, antifungal, and healing properties, however due to the costs to extract and produce this molecule it is not often used in skin care lines.
Dr. Rivers felt the benefits were worth it. Thujaplicin is an integral part of the formulation of Riversol For Rosacea, a three-step regimen, which features a cleanser, serum and moisturizer. The combination of thujaplicin with stabilized Vitamin C and Vitamin E, effectively calms the skin, reducing redness and inflammation while improving texture and clarity. This hypoallergenic line is also free of dye and fragrance.
“I’ve seen first hand the negative impacts rosacea can have on a patient’s self-esteem and quality of life,” said Dr. Rivers. “It’s very rewarding to be launching this line that can help to relieve redness and the symptoms of rosacea, which can be emotionally devastating.”
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition affecting more than two million Canadians. It affects both men and women primarily in the 30-to-50 age range. It’s often misdiagnosed as sensitive skin or adult acne. Riversol For Rosacea is available across Canada at select doctors’ offices and online. For more information visit: at www.riversol.com.
