Lauren Conrad Beauty Book
HarperCollins Publishers announced today that it has acquired world rights to LAUREN CONRAD BEAUTY from the bestselling author of L.A. Candy. A companion volume to LAUREN CONRAD STYLE, LAUREN CONRAD BEAUTY will offer beauty tips and secrets from the fashion designer and style icon.
Just as the New York Times bestseller LAUREN CONRAD STYLE is the ultimate style guide for girls and women of all ages, LAUREN CONRAD BEAUTY will be the must-have beauty book. Everyone wants to know celebrities’ secrets to looking beautiful, and Lauren will break it down and share it all. Most importantly, Lauren knows there isn’t one beauty ideal that works for everyone, and shows readers how to play to their strengths. From diet and skincare and one simple thing you can do every day to contouring techniques and hairstyles for special occasions, the insights and instruction Lauren offers are timeless.
This four-color book will feature photographs and step-by-step instructions and will include personal stories from Lauren’s own beauty evolution as well as answers to fan-submitted questions at LaurenConrad.com about hair, makeup, nails and all things beauty-related.
The deal was negotiated by Farrin Jacobs, Editorial Director at HarperCollins Children’s Books, and Literary Agent Matthew Elblonk of DeFiore & Company, with Max Stubblefield at UTA. LAUREN CONRAD BEAUTY will be published in Fall 2012.
In 2009, Lauren made her authorial debut with L.A. Candy, the behind-the-scenes story of a young girl who moves to L.A. and becomes the star of a reality television show. The first in the series, L.A. Candy was a #1 New York Times bestseller, and all subsequent books were also New York Times bestsellers.
LAUREN CONRAD is best known for starring in the MTV hit series The Hills. She is the author of several New York Times bestsellers, including the L.A. Candy series, and Lauren Conrad Style, a fashion and beauty guide. She began her fashion career in spring 2008 with the debut of the Lauren Conrad Collection. In 2009 she launched LC Lauren Conrad, exclusively for Kohl’s and the line has since expanded to shoes, accessories and sunglasses. Her newest clothing line is paper crown. She has been featured on the covers of Elle, Glamour, Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Rolling Stone, Seventeen, Shape, and Entertainment Weekly, among others. She lives in Los Angeles.
