“The creation of Botanolution started off with a very simple idea of creating all natural bath salts and sugar scrubs. I have always been a strong advocate of holistic remedies; it is deeply rooted in the Asian culture and history,” says Jennifer Tran, Founder and CEO of Botanolution, Co. “My son, Kaleb, was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3 ½. He was hyperactive and restless. After years of research about the disorder and possible remedies, I stumbled upon an article about the healing powers of Dead Sea Salt and Epsom Salt. Impressed with its scientific data, I searched for products that contain such ingredients, and to my dismay, I could only find a handful of products in the market that are 100 percent natural, but they are ridiculously priced. Being a single mother attending college, I just didn’t have the means to afford such expensive products. I then decided to create my own custom bath salt mixture intended to calm Kaleb’s boundless energy. I also added three types of essential oils for aromatherapy purposes. I decided to name this product, Kaleb’s Potion, after my son. It has been very effective for him. He is now more relaxed and calm. That’s when I decided it was my calling to help other parents (and individuals) looking for natural and affordable remedies for their health ailments. As a way to give back to the community and spread autism awareness, Botanolution will donate 100% of its sale profits of “Kaleb’s Potion” to Stanford University’s Autism Research.
