u look haute, the premiere online fashion and beauty network featuring tips, interviews, stories and reviews shared by celebrities, experts and everyday women will launch at youtube.com/ulookhaute on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, announced EQAL, the next-generation media company that combines technology and people to power 24/7/365 digital media properties around consumer brands and celebrities.
u look haute, EQAL’s newest Media Network, is the original fashion and beauty YouTube Channel from the innovative team that transformed appointment viewing online with lonelygirl15 and launched some of the most innovative digital and traditional programming throughout the cable and digital expansion. u look haute will feature a wide variety of interactive video series, extensive behind the scenes and extra footage, compelling interstitials, on-demand options and other consumable entertainment choices. u look haute offers the best of traditional and online talent, programming and structure with YouTube breakouts, TV stars, designers, reality competition and more.
The launch schedule includes Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp, the Beauty/Fashion reality competition series, starring the YouTube phenomenon’s Elle and Blair Fowler (who have more than 350 million views of their combined videos) in a Project Runway meets America’s Next Top Model competition show to find the next big beauty vlogger, ReNailz, a series dedicated to nail styles and trends and the weekly The Haute List round-up of the best of beauty and style featuring the hottest names and voices in fashion and beauty. Actress, musician and Disney favorite, Chelsea Kane will also participate on the network. The programming is produced by EQAL Media Studios, the video production arm of EQAL.

Rob Weiss, EQAL’s Chief Content Officer and Head of Media Networks continues, “With u look haute, we’re taking YouTube stars and putting them into professionally produced shows and providing mainstream TV stars with an online forum to make the show they want to make, without the confines of network television.”

Guest contributors including celebrities from television and film as well as popular YouTube talent will join the roster in coming weeks to present an intimate, personalized approach to programming with easy to share episodic online entertainment.
The schedule will be programmed on a regularly scheduled daily slate with the following content along with promos, interstitials and deep behind the scenes footage for a wide range of viewing options. Here is the “premiere slate” of content:
Monday - ReNailz Nail art enthusiast Renee Airo shares her weird, wacky and totally eye-catching sense of style with recurring nail advice, tutorials and color announcements.
Tuesday - Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp With Elle & Blair Fowler Ten aspiring digital fashionistas go head-to-head in a competition to become the next big beauty vlogger. Each episode, YouTube sensations Elle and Blair Fowler introduce a fashion and beauty-related challenge and eliminate a contestant based on the results. The last beauty vlogger standing receives his or her own series on u look haute.
Wednesday - Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp: The Boot Each episode’s eliminated Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp contestant responds to getting “The Boot” from the challenge. Find out what went wrong and whom they think will win the competition.
Thursday - Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp Bonus Go behind-the-scenes of Beauty Vlogger Boot Camp with Elle and Blair Fowler. See how each competition came together and how the contestants played nice (or not!) on-set. Plus, check out bloopers of Elle, Blair and the contestants.
